The Liberia Scouts Association, today, presented an award at the One UN House in Monrovia.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Liberia Scouts Association, Mr. Aaron D. Kollie, Chief Commissioner, highlighted the services and contributions of the Resident Coordinator and UN in Liberia. Receiving the award on behalf of the UN in Liberia, Resident Coordinator Niels Scott noted that the gesture was a great privilege and lauded the spirit and energy of the Liberia Scouts Association.
Mr. Scott used the opportunity to thank the Association for all that the they have achieved in Liberia and the services provided to the people of Liberia. He also applauded their volunteerism noting that "with COVID-19 pandemic and the isolation that has resulted, what you do is important, and I salute you".
The Liberia Scouts Association expressed appreciation to the Resident Coordinator and the UN in Liberia and committed to foster a relationship with the UN in Liberia while continuing their service and support through volunteerism.
