United Nations Liberia Annual Results Report 2024
This 2024 Annual Results Report highlights the United
Nations’ efforts in support of Liberia’s national priorities
and the Sustainable Development Goals, under the aegis
of the Government and the United Nations Sustainable
Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2018–
2025.
The report indicates key results from the UN’s support
in Liberia across targeted sectors, including agriculture,
health, education, technical and vocational training,
governance, and gender equality. The focus was on
strengthening institutional capacities and service
delivery, and promoting social inclusion, gender
equality, and women’s economic empowerment. This
was achieved by enhancing access to essential social
services and increasing economic opportunities for the
most vulnerable communities, particularly women, youth,
and persons with disabilities.
Achieving Liberia’s development aspirations and the
Sustainable Development Goals requires strategic
partnership, innovation, and commitment. Domestic
resource mobilization and private sector engagement will
continue to be critical, as will community- and peoplebased
development. The UN remains steadfast in its role
as a trusted development partner, working alongside the
Government, civil society, private sector, and international
partners to drive meaningful progress toward the SDGs
and Agenda 2063.
I extend my gratitude to the Government of Liberia,
development partners, and all stakeholders who have
contributed to the achievements outlined in this report.
Most importantly, I commend the resilience, strength,
and ambition of the Liberian people, whose aspirations
continue to inspire our collective mission.
Together, we will continue to build a united, prosperous,
and sustainable Liberia.
